to go see a good fandango by dancers Getaria group in our village ( traditional Basque dance group ) on the pediment
or attend a party chistera , pelota our national sport! !
or surf the famous waves GUETHARY course, Biarritz and Hendaye,
or climb the Rhune , our sacred mountain on foot or ... with the famous train with racks !
and of course .... make some holiday villages where we dance and sing all night ! as the song says Luis Mariano !

* Thalassotherapy Biarritz, St Jean de Luz, 1/2 h the Thalasso S. Blanco in Hendaye
* Little Train of the Rhune is 1/2 h in Sare
* Golf courses and Bassussary Arcangues .
The Southern Basque Country (Spain ) is 20 minutes by highway ,
San Sebastian ( by topo train ) will charm you with its old streets, tapas bars , the bay and the beach,
* Bilbao is 2 hours drive with its famous Guggenheim Museum
and finally the very beautiful Basque coast of south and small fishing villages !

to go to St Jean de Luz , a shuttle bus is provided by the city 5 minutes from home, in the car Carrefour, more parking hassles , very significant in high season !
or train (small station Guéthary 15 minutes walk from the house), to go to Bayonne eg

    Avons passé un excellent séjour à Guéthary, idéalement située pour découvrir le pays basque. Superbe appartement, très spacieux, tout confort, d'une propreté irréprochable. Produits d'entretien fournis, ce qui est très rare et pourtant bien pratique. Magnifique jardin entretenu avec soin. Accueil extrêmement chaleureux. Mme et M. ECHAIDE sont d'une grande gentillesse, très discrets. Ils ne manqueront pas de vous conseiller pour les visites à effectuer. Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr !
