maison décorée avec beaucoup de soin, meubles chinés chez les antiquaires, lits spacieux, dans un grand terrain, paddocks pour accueillir chevaux.
The "gite" The « pink house » at la Hérissonnière is a XIXth century bourgeois residence in ochre bricks. It is surrounded with a small priest garden closed with railings, in the midst of a large woody private property. The parquet floor bedrooms with warm curtains and spacious beds are named “Beauvoir”, “Tulipe”, “Compagnie d’Orient” and “Découverte”. The furniture is fully “mottled”. It is antique and for most of it original : a “valet” chest from Lorraine, a vine wood armchair piece of art of a companion, an Alsatian polychromatic hosier dated 1830, a German painted cylinder-desk, a bedhead out of a Indonesian folding screen... Each bedroom has a bathroom decorated with genuine hand painted azulejos. The patterns are varied and tailor-made. BED AND BREAKFAST : The rooms are situated in the old pigeon loft besides the living quarters, ancient wooden side manor dating from the XVIth century. The Louis XIV baluster stairs tale you to the 2 bedrooms separated by a landing leading to a bathroom and its strange fountain. The morning light is sifted by stained-glass windows, warming up the Norman wardrobe and hand wrought iron canopy bed.
